This structure, constructed between 1925 and 1927, was designed and built by Giuseppe Murer for his personal residence. Murer was an Italian immigrant who designed and constructed many buildings in Folsom. The house, garage, and landscaping reflect Murer`s northern Italian heritage. The Murer residence is a vernacular example of the Italian Renaissance style of architecture, a miniature of the Italian Renaissance villas of his countryside, and is the only example of its kind in Folsom.
