From 1965 to 1992 it served as a Forest Service work station and residence for employees. In 1992 the compound was exchanged out of federal ownership. The structure served as the District Ranger`s dwelling until a new dwelling was built elsewhere in 1962. Thereafter, this structure was used as living quarters for other Forest Service personnel until it was exchanged out of federal ownership in 1992.
