Patterson House, 15 Dupont Circle NorthweSt Washington, District of Columbia, DC

This structure is a McKim, Mead and White example of neoclassicism in the decorative Italianate manner. The white marble and glazed terra-cotta building is heavily ornamented. The court, which breaks the south corner of polygonal plan, gives added light to the interior and commands the approach of vehicular traffic around Dupont Circle.
