Items found in various rooms
Every once in a while we would look around the house for old trinkets or lost original items. The first thing found was a mercury dime from 1901, which was found in the bathroom below the bottom cabinet drawer, along with some old sewing machine parts I believe? The next was a small gold earring and a small bullet casing found in the upstairs floor vent. The most recent finding was a small box of shotgun shells hidden in the attic insulation. The shells from what I could find seem to be from the mid-50's or 60's. Unrelated, but some of the wood used to build the attic door entryway seems to be old shipping crate wood from around WWI.
