Before and After... Grandma passed away
I used to have a picture but I've been through a couple of phones and went to a couple of places over time to get sober and this may sound strange but it is hard to digest as the memory of it was so vividly real. My mom and my aunt won't stop fighting over the trauma of my grandma passing away but I feel as if something should be said or done so maybe this will help. My grandma is a wonderful lady who always lived up to her "Just do it expectations" and always wore a smile on her face even if she didn't show it she still maintained a, "kill them with kindness" wholesome attitude and loved living by herself after her and grandpa divorced. She was a union pacific railroad engineer's daughter and grandpa was always on the road doing the same thing. She retired as a lunch lady/school secretary for one of council bluffs schools and after she passed away...The whole family was disarray and was fighting over grandma's stuff. Those who were doing well in the family wanted others to suffer instead of work things out and wouldn't talk anything out. I had a notion to show up to my grandma's funeral and ruin the whole thing but I said my peace and left. I feel like my grandma still haunts the place because she is not happy with how my mom and my aunt had left each other in cold terms. They refuse to speak to each other and I found letter after letter from my aunt to my grandma about how she really felt about my mom. I can't put into perspective the simple fact that my aunt is honestly in my own words a mean lady and won't let go of the personal possession's that won't ever bring my grandma back. A lot of grandma's stuff got donated and long story short.... Here's an eerie story to go with the tale of the house.... The night my grandma passed away things mysteriously started flying across the room. And when I was in the basement sleeping I could always always always hear roller skates going across the floor upstairs. Weird thing is... It sounded like it was roller skates on wood but grandma had carpet upstairs. When I told my mom the story she replied, "grandma used to love roller skating and she said she felt like she could feel grandma's presence when she stayed there herself. My Aunt Roxanne whom is a prominent lady herself didn't come home and had us puzzled she didn't take time off from her life to come home And take care of the one lady that gave birth to her. I guess she holds herself to a higher standard being that she's. Married rich lady living a wonderful life in colorado mountains. I never could understand rich people in that sense. The judges will tell you to hang out with people that pull you up not down but it's hard to do that when half the country judges you for your sins and look down at you. I got pushed to the streets and found myself falling apart but not before one more incident happened at Grandma's before I moved out. I hung a blue sheet at the bottom of the staircase so nobody could see downstairs cause I didn't want to sleep at Grandma's alone the other repeated incidents of things flying and roller skates rolling. So a couple of my friends stayed with me when my mom couldn't and my aunt Roxanne only came home to scream at me and tell me to get out. I wouldn't allow that to happen and she came to the push and shove scenario and tried bringing cops into the mix but wouldn't hear me out. I wish it would have been her and mom to be there to witness this stuff with me but they are working ladies and head strong at that... So one morning I woke up around 4am to notice it was ice cold in the basement to where you could see your own breathe. I just had the furnace fixed that week and that the blue blanket at the bottom of the stairs started swaying. Then a woman in a dress appeared with a little girl holding her hand. Nothing was ever spoken of that day. I moved out asap and didn't ever go back. Everything got put to the curb that I had moved to the garage and I only told my mom the story. I may have told my brother but I ended up homeless and am just getting back on my feet after all these years. I wish I still had the video I took along with the photos. I sent them to my mom but she don't know how to read emails. I will keep fishing to find them to post with this if I can but it freaked me out and even to this day. Good luck to the new owners and I pray my grandma find peace after my mom and aunt come to there senses. She can't find rest until those two make up for STOLEN MEMORIES THAT COULD HAVE BEEN! Some people don't understand that money and power are not what life should be about and the simplest things in life could have been shared respectfully had greed not gotten in the way of Love. To all of my family I don't get to see... I still love you all and apologize I didn't do the same. I was the only black sheep and will remain that until I get more than 3 years of sobriety under my belt. Good luck to the new owners and I hope me sharing this little knowledge helps.
