Built circa 1917 for James Norman Hill (1870-1932) and his wife Marguerite Sawyer (1879-1948). Hill was worth an estimated $80 million and as the eldest son of the railroad baron James J. Hill. After their death it passed to their only daughter, Pauline. Today, it is the home of the AHRC Nassau.
