The church was listed in the Hawai`i Register of Historic Places in 2003, and was determined eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The stained glass window wall possess high artistic value through its unique iconography combining religious and military themes and represents the work of a stained glass master, John Wallis. In addition, the stained glass window, which covers the entire front A-frame wall, is the only window with this unique iconography in Hawai`i and one of the largest stained glass wall panels in the United States. The church possesses historical significance from its association with WWII and the United States military services, because it was constructed as a tribute to those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor and to all of the military men and women who have served our nation.
