We live in a small town on the only brick street. Our house was built in 1896 and the brick street was finished in 1912. The first couple to live in our house were JF Sherman and his wife Katherine. In 1917 she went on a day trip with 5 other people and their Buick stalled on the railroad tracks and was hit by a NYC Mail train. Her funeral was held in our home and services were at a church in town. We still have the original woodwork and floors throughout but are slowing updating some things to make it our own while keeping it historic. I love the history of our home and hope our children keep it in our family for generations to come. Original Owner: JF Sherman
