2801 Lake of the Isles Pkwy. East Home History

2801 Lake of the Isles Pkwy. East Home History Harry Jones, 7970 At first glance, this appears to be a formal Beaux-Arts house, and it’s certainly in that territory. But the Egyptian capitals on the porch columns are an odd touch, while the plainness of the overall detailing owes something to the Arts and Crafts sensibility of the time. All in all, a sharp design from the wide-ranging Harry Jones. Citation: Millett, Larry. AIA Guide to the Minneapolis Lake District. Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2009.
