Sold Home

My husband, CJ, and I (Suzie), sold the home to be closer to family. I believe the guy we sold to was a single guy working in the area. At the time, we had one daughter. My husband worked for LP in Hayward and I was a teacher in Ladysmith. We put on the large addition in hopes of it being a forever home. We moved to Merrill, WI. after selling the home.

Owners and Residents

We purchased this home from Pete and Jeanne, who were selling to live in their camper down south. We were told the home was built sometime about 1900, and the kitchen, short hall, and upstairs were all there was to the home at the time. The bathroom was in the area right outside the pantry, which you had to walk through to get upstairs. Where the pantry sits now is where the original stairs were, which you can still see from the basement. I was told they held dances upstairs. The previous owners purchased from an older woman, who had lived there a long time. They had added on the laundry room, main bathroom and small bedroom in the hall. When we purchased, we turned the living room into a stairwell and dining room, turned the landing into a bedroom, turned the small upstairs bedroom into a landing/loft, and added on a large living room and master bedroom/bath/closet. This house has had lots of revisions. I do know that one of the neighbors down the road has the original stove in their home on display. There was lots of back and forth in sales due the the number of antiques in the home at one point- prior to Jeanne and Pete.
