The Roubieu-Jones House is the oldest extant full-story raised Creole plantation home in Natchitoches, Parish. In addition, Carroll Jones, a former slave and later member of the Creole community, purchased the house and the surrounding land in the late 1860s and used it as the residence for his cotton farm, gin, and thoroughbred horse ranch.
