Jacob Dick House, 393 National Rd, Wheeling, Ohio County, WV
Located along the National Road which was the main thoroughfare into Wheeling from the east as early as 1838. The National Road began in Cumberland, Maryland and terminated in Wheeling, West Virginia. Eventually it was extended to Illinois. This was the first "Federal Highway" and the area`s most important east-west route from the 1820s through the 1950s.
