4290 Queen Ave S, Minneapolis, MN, USA

4290 Queen Ave S Home History Carl Gage, 1910 A pared-down bungalow with little of the Arts and Crafts flavoring you'd expect to find on a house of its type. The round porch columns are unusual. When he built this house, Alonzo Hoyt was president of a brass and iron firm. As a younger man, he'd managed the first pavilion at Lake Harriet from 1888 until it burned down in 1891. Citation: Millett, Larry. AIA Guide to the Minneapolis Lake District. Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2009.
