Mary Thackeray Perry House, 434 East Zaragoza St Pensacola, Escambia County, FL

This structure is an excellent example of the raised wood frame cottage typical of the Gulf of Mexico coast. Probably built in 1883, it has a hipped roof, inset porches, central hallway and large floor length windows to exploit prevailing climatic conditions. Wings have been added and porches have been enclosed to meet the needs of a succession of occupants.
