Buron House History
The Buron house in West St. Paul was designed by architect Norman Richard Johnson in 1937-38 for Sam J. and Agnes Buron. Sam was the owner of the South St. Paul Lumber Company, home builder in South St. Paul, West St. Paul, Hastings and he built of “The Hudson House” in Wisconsin. The builder of the house was Chris Hansen and press photographs were taken by Rein O. Werner ca. 1939 for house magazines. Williams/Garcia built an addition matching the original architecture in 2003 and much of the original house is unchanged from 1938. The Buron’s moved in 1947 and subsequent owners were, Dr. Charles and Lucille Chadbourn Robert and Ruth Peters John and Anne Geisler Jane Sommers-Dahl G. Williams, K. Williams and R. Garcia Mark and Anita Groethe (current)
