4600 Dupont Ave S, Minneapolis, MN, USA

4600 Dupont Ave S Home History Harry Jones, 1906 Although Harry Jones usually designed houses in one historic style or another, many of them were hardly conventional. In this large Georgian Revival home, set sideways on its corner lot so that it faces 46th St., Jones departed from orthodoxy by, among other things, moving the main entry from its usual central position to the far end of the house beside an extended Porte cochere. The home's original owner was a prominent engineer who worked with Jones on the Washburn Park Water Tower in the nearby Tangletown neighborhood. Citation: Millett, Larry. AIA Guide to the Minneapolis Lake District. Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2009.
