4615 East Lake Harriet Boulevard, Minneapolis, MN, USA

4615 East Lake Harriet Boulevard Home History Purcell and Feick, 1909 One of William Purcell's early Craftsman-Prairie houses, quite straightforward, with a gabled roof and banded windows on the second floor. Within, Purcell created an open-floor plan modeled on Frank Lloyd Wright's design for "A Fireproof House for $5,000," published in 1907 in the Ladies' Home Journal. Originally clad in wood siding and shingles, the house has been modified over the years in ways that have not enhanced its appearance. Citation: Millett, Larry. AIA Guide to the Minneapolis Lake District. Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2009.
