477 South Meyer Ave (House), Tucson, Pima County, AZ
A flat-roofed adobe structure on the northeast corner of S. Meyer Avenue and W. Kennedy Street, this building provides a good example of the chamfered corner found on many of the corner commercial buildings in the Barrio Libre. The corner portion of the building housed a grocery store since the 1880s, while the attached dwellings were used both as residences and small family businesses. The structure is set flush with the street in the Sonoran tradition, and has no identifiable Anglo elements.
