4850 Lake Harriet Pkwy. West Home History Magney and Tusler, 1930 An exquisitely detailed brick house that melds Tudor Revival with the English Arts and Crafts style of the 1890s. Architect Gottlieb Magney is best known as a partner in the firm that designed the Foshay Tower, but he was also responsible for a number of fine Period Revival homes in the 1920s and 1930s. The original owner, Benjamin Walling, was in the real estate business and once served as president of the Minneapolis Real Estate Board. Citation: Millett, Larry.
