Gould-Potter House, 486 Main St Greenfield, Franklin County, MA

A finely detailed and constructed, well-preserved large house, representative of the nineteenth century, lived in by three prominent Greenfield families, in turn. / This house was built in 1827 for Artemas Gould, merchant. The draftsman and probable designer was Elijah T. Hayden. It has finely detailed Ionic porticoes, three delicate entrance doorways and Ionic orders on the interior. Long occupied by the Potter family, its service wing was altered around 1900. It is now owned and occupied by radio Station WHAI.
