The Central Baptist Church is the second oldest black Baptist church in Muskogee having been constructed in 1908, one year after Oklahoma became a state. It is one of the three oldest social institutions in Muskogee`s black community. Central Baptist Church served the spiritual and social needs of Muskogee`s black community for 77 years. It was last used by the congregation for religious services on Sunday, March 31, 1985.
