Victorian Workers Cottages By Jane McClure The block of Charles Avenue between Dale and Kent streets has one of the largest groups of original Victorian workingmen’s cottages left in Saint Paul. Old city directories show that many were homes to area railroad and railroad-related industry workers. Many of these homes date from the 1880s and 1890s.
