National Register of Historic Places - Thomas Rose House
Statement of Significant: Although it has been considerably altered since its erection in 1735-1740, the Thomas Rose House is one of Charleston's best specimens of colonial architecture. It is a two-and-a-half-story Georgian brick townhouse which retains most of its fine original early-Georgian paneling. The house was considered as a National Historic Landmark and is in excellent condition. Used as a residence, it is open to special tours 10-15 days a year.
