Piper Farm

I was purchasing this property before it was put on the market and had agreed on a price with the seller. I was going to restore the barn as the house was in really good condition with a functioning well, septic, and furnace. I had been a licensed contractor specializing in historic restoration for many years. Just as I had put together all the funds to go ahead with the purchase the seller sold it on the open market. I had been pursuing this property for over a year. The current owner had planned on demolishing the house and barn and replacing it with storage garages as he own the storage facility next door. The city denied the commercial zoning he was looking for. It now sits as a testament to a failed real estate deal. The owner has no interest in selling and told me he will just give it to his kids. I'm not really sure what that means. It is now in the midst of "demolition by neglect."
