This frame house is a good example of one kind of dwelling commonly constructed around the turn of the century. The two-and-one-half story structure has an unusual gable roofline. At the apex of the steeply pitched roof, a simple bargeboard provides subtle accent to the three-bay facade, while an interior chimney projects from the center of the roof’s ridge. Wood weatherboarding comprises the exterior finish material, and plain molded window and door surrounds contrast slightly with the lighter-painted weatherboards. On the front tapered, paneled pillars support a wide porch. A smaller balcony above the porch is inset into the sloping roof. The building originally had a double-pile central-passage plan and was used as a single family residence. It is now divided into apartments.
