The Photographic Laboratory, due to its architectural integrity and its contribution to the Second World War-era infrastructure, forms an integral part of MacDill Air Force Base`s historic character. The laboratory, which is associated with the wartime construction and development of the Base, was operated almost entirely by the Women`s Army Corps (WAC) which allowed men to train for combat in the European and Pacific theaters.
