Dec 31, 1969

My parents were first owners/builders

My parents purchased the lot and started building in August of 1985. Chuck Thompson was the builder and I was in 6th grade. We lived a few miles away and would drive there every weekend to see progress. The house was surrounded by fields/sage brush filled with Jackrabbits, ground squirrels, snakes (gopher particularly), and birds of prey like red tail hawk, burrowing owls, barn owls, and even a golden eagle. Only two other houses were present on Limoges at the time. The house was not built with a pool, but one was added in 1987 after my Dad flew over the house on a flight and noticed our house was one of the only without a pool (thinking resale). We moved in 1989 due to my dad's job, but i have fond memories of the house: kitchen nook with retractable table, patio/pool, and my bedroom with the french doors to patio. On a clear summer night you could look south and see the lights of I-5/Grapevine. Bet that's not possible now.
