10 Circle West

My father (Howard W King) built the house at 10 Circle West (Edina MN) in 1941 or 1942. The house was designed by the McEnary & Kraft Architectural firm. Mr Kraft actually lived in the neighborhood at 7 Circle West up until his passing in the 1960s or 1970s. My father and my mother (Betty F King) lived in the house until Howard passed away in December 1958. I was born in December 1949 (John W King) and lived there until I moved out when I married in 1976. My mother remarried and continued living there until her passing in 2004. My stepfather (John Rentschler) sold the house in 2006. The new buyer tore it down and rebuild the current home on this location. The neighborhood was a wonderful safe place to grow up with plenty of other kids in the area. The dogs could run free and we didn't need to lock our doors! Fun times! The photos are from 2006, prior to demolition.
