A representative commercial building of the immediate post-Civil War period whose facade is nearly in original condition, and is of architectural interest for its vernacular Italianate entrance. Originally built as the First National Bank. / The exterior walls on all three floors are brick, except for the south facade and front bay of the east facade of the first floor which is faced with vermiculated stone. Three stories, 3-bay front, 24 feet (front) by 65 feet deep, rectangular in plan.
