The original owner of this house, which was built for $5,000, was W. H. Fox who is not listed in 1890-1892 City Directory. This large Queen Anne style house retains many of its original decorative features even though the porch has been enclosed and inappropriate siding has been installed. First Owner: W. H. Fox Notes: Asymmetrical design. Gable end on main facade has a band of 3 Queen Anne style windows topped by brackets which support a decorative hipped hood. Brackets and modillions at eaves. Large rounded stained glass window on west side of main facade. Hipped roof open porch with gable over entrance (porch now enclosed). 1 story, 3-sided bay window on east side wall. Siding, porch enclosed, many new windows, some decorative details removed.
