Statement of Significant: The tallest courthouse in georgia, the Fulton County courthouse at Pryor and Hunter is nine stories high. It is part of a government building complex that includes city, county and state office buildings. It is an excellent example of the Beaux Arts style which was so popular in Atlanta in the early 20th century. The Atlanta Constitution of April 6, 1911 devoted the top of page one to the new courthouse plans. The estimated cost was $1,000,000. Apparently, it was intended to be centered on the block.
