Statement of Significance: The Emanuel D. Adler House is being nominated to the National Register for its local significance in the area of Architecture, Criterion C. The building is architecturally significant as an excellent example of an 1880s Queen Anne building with Romanesque Revival detailing. It was constructed as an upper-class residence and was designed by a prominent local architect. The Adler House exemplifies the costly and finely crafted medieval-inspired houses popular with Milwaukee's German elite in the late nineteenth century.
