York County Courthouse, Doorway, 250 East Market St York, York County, PA
Taken from the York County Courthouse, where the Continental Congress met 1777-1778. The doorway, however, pre-dates that meeting. Nevertheless, the doorway is an attractive example of Georgian/Federal design. The door, which is not original to the frame, is an interesting example of a type frequently found in early York.
