2519 Humboldt Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN, USA

2519 Humboldt Avenue South Home History Alexander Rose, 1922 This ivy-covered, center-court apartment building is not extraordinary for its time, yet it achieves a kind of dignified elegance that seems beyond the reach of even the most upscale modern condominiums. A key difference, of course, is the materials. This brick building looks as though it was made to last, whereas many modern apartments look as though they were made to amortize over 20 years, and not a day longer. Citation: Millett, Larry. AIA Guide to the Minneapolis Lake District. Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2009.
