History: According to her 1918 birth record, golfer Patty Berg, born Patricia Jane Berg, lived at this residence. She was the daughter of Herman Louis and Therese Berg. She was born on February 13, 1918 and died September 10, 2006. Berg was a Minnesota golf champion and later a national golf champion, turning professional in 1940. During World War II she joined the Marine Corps and served for two years as a First Lieutenant. She served as the first president and a charter member of the LPGA. In 1972 she was inducted into the American Golf Hall of Fame.
