Under Criterion A, the house is significant for its association with the Specialized Agriculture, Small Business, and Community Development Period of the history and development of Sandy. The bungalow represents a level of prosperity, despite economic uncertainty, which allowed many middle-class residents to purchase their own homes. Under Criterion C, the house is significant as a well-preserved example of the bungalow: an important house type common Utah between 1906 and 1930. The bungalow residence in Sandy represents the spread of 'popular' urban styles to rural Utah towns.
