The Stroud Building, constructed in 1900 and 1901, typifies the Queen Anne-style commercial buildings built at the turn of the century. It is one of the last buildings constructed in the style in Phoenix and at the time of documentation was among the few remaining Queen Anne-style commercial buildings in the city. The property was developed by Colonel Harrison E. Stroud, a Phoenix physician and developer.
