The Ernest E. Hart House is a good example of a side-gabled bungalow that incorporates both Neoclassical and Craftsman elements. Built in 1915-16, it is the second Hart family home to be located on this property. The first Hart family home, built before the Civil War, is no longer standing. The Harts were among the earliest settlers of the area.
