Kirkbride-Palmer House, 559 Palmer Farm Dr (Lower Makefield Township), Yardley, Bucks County, PA
The house`s principal significance is embodied in its well preserved Georgian architecture as exhibited in the plaster cove cornice, symmetrical form and both Flemish & English brickwork. It also exhibits the additive quality indicative of early Bucks Co. architecture. The house is also of significance for its association with the Kirkbride and Palmer families, both among the earliest settlers to this area, and of Quaker background.
