The Southern Pacific RR Passenger Station, built ca. 1929, is a particularly fine example of Spanish Mission Revival architecture. Its sharply defined form and open site make it one of Brownsville`s most visually impressive landmarks. (National Register, November 17, 1978, as Southern Pacific Railroad Passenger Depot.)
