The Southern Pacific Depot built in 1935 on Cahill Street in San Jose was listed on the National Register in 1992 as significant under Criterion C in the area of Architecture as a late example of the Italian Renaissance Revival style in commercial architecture in the state. The Water Tank and other features were considered to be contributing features to the Cahill Depot`s setting.
