7312 Blaisdell, Childhood Home
My parents bought 7312 Blaisdell as their first home 3 mo before my middle brother was born. Paid $12,500.00. My oldest brother Dan was a year old, Jeff was about to come in July, and I was born in Sept ‘62. My dad built benches under the kitchen window. The basement was unfinished and we had a tv down there. Mom ran Cub Scout meetings there for my two older brothers. There was a big Oak in the back, and a big evergreen in front. The boys slept in the attic room when my parents had it finished and built storage in the sidewalls and full closet. It was an ideal house and neighborhood to grow up. They sold in 1970 for $19,000.
