Dahlgren-Cartier House

Completed in 1916, for the newly divorced Mrs Lucy Wharton (Drexel) Dahlgren (1867-1944). From 1922, she began to spend more time in France and rented the house to the celebrated jeweller Pierre Cartier (1878-1964). In 1927, she sold the house to Cartier and with the proceeds built Champ Soleil in Newport.
