Ascension School Property Description: 3 stories; symmetrical structure; brick exterior wall covering with wall decoration exemplified in light colored stone, specifically quoining and stone course work. Central bay is composed of an arched entry way flanked by one story Doric columns; ledge resting on columns holds urn-like statutes and a shield; window surround on second story (above columns) is composed of banded pilasters with the entablature reading “Ascension School”; above window surround is a balustraded balcony; roof-line balustrade completes central bay North and south bay have refined detailing with window surrounds around second floor windows; shield as part of parapet.
