Contributing element of late nineteenth/early twentieth century commercial district. Housed New England Engineering Company (1891-1898) and Waterbury Boys Club (1891-1906). The Boys Club included a dormitory for homeless boys. The club found work for boys in need, housed orphans, and operated other innovative programs.
