2316 Oliver Ave S Home History Purcell Feick and Elmsiie, 1912 An obtrusive front porch (which once had a second story as well) mars the appearance of this house, which is among several Purcell and Elmsiie designed with high gable roofs. According to Purcell, the house went through the budget wringer a number of times, and it shows. This is not one of the firm's choicer designs. Citation: Millett, Larry. AIA Guide to the Minneapolis Lake District. Minnesota Historical Society Press, 2009.
