Colgate & Company Jersey City Plant, Building No. D-8, 37-39 Sussex St Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ
D-8 was probably the first Colgate & Company building used exclusively for oil storage and refining or bleaching. It became part of a three-structure refining complex, along with buildings D-6 and D-9 (HAER Nos. NJ-71-DD and NJ-71-FF), by 1942. Although not an individually significant structure, D-9 was significant as a component of the Colgate plant.
