1645 West Minnehaha Avenue, Saint Paul, MN, USA

The original owner and builder of this house was Gustavus A. Anderson, a contractor who lived at 1711 Captiol Avenue. Anderson built numerous houses in the Hamline-Midway area. This house was designed by an extremely prolific St. Paul architect who was originally from England, Louis Lockwood. Though butchered by alterations made to the front porch, this house is a fairly early example of the Colonial Revival Style which was extremely popular in St. Paul in the opening decades of the 20th century. First Owner: Gustavus A. Anderson Notes: 2 story bay window on main facade and right facade. Gables are pedimented. Arched window in gable with sawtooth surrounds. Simple architraves and door surrounds. Overhanging eaves with exposed rafters.
