John Bourn House, 417 Hope St Bristol, Bristol County, RI
A ship captain, John Bourn, had the five-bay, two-story, brick house constructed ca. 1804. The center bay projects forward and is notable for its pediment and Palladian window. Inside, the open-string stair with turned balusters and scrolled step-end ornaments is a highlight.
