Walnut-Dollison Historic District, 815 East Walnut St (House), 815 East Walnut St Springfield, Greene County, MO

A simply massed and typically detailed neoclassical building common for its period, this large frame house is one of many substantial town houses built along East Walnut Street at the turn of the century. Its conversion into apartments just prior to WWII has caused a number of major alterations, including the addition of a two story rear wing and an exterior fire stair on the front. As such the building`s architectural integrity has been compromised somewhat.
